Modern Slavery Statement

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Man with Van Tolworth is committed to conducting its business in a lawful, ethical, and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. We recognise that modern slavery is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights, and we are determined to play our part in its eradication.

Our Business and Supply Chain

Man with Van Tolworth operates in the transport, removals, and logistics sector, providing moving and related services to private and commercial customers. Our activities involve the use of vehicles, drivers, support staff, and a range of suppliers who provide goods and services such as fuel, vehicle maintenance, equipment, recruitment, and facility services.

We acknowledge that the logistics and transport industries can be vulnerable to labour exploitation, particularly in relation to agency labour, subcontracted drivers, and cleaning or maintenance services. We therefore take a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks throughout our supply chain.

Zero-Tolerance Policy on Modern Slavery

Man with Van Tolworth has a clear, zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking. This applies to our own operations and to all suppliers, contractors, and business partners who work with us. We expect the same high standards from everyone we do business with and we will not knowingly work with any organisation that fails to uphold these principles.

Our zero-tolerance stance means that any suspected instance of modern slavery will be taken seriously, investigated promptly, and may result in the termination of contracts and notification to the relevant authorities where appropriate.

Supplier Standards and Audits

We are committed to working only with suppliers and contractors who share our commitment to ethical labour practices. As part of our supplier onboarding and ongoing management, we aim to

Assess the risk of modern slavery in the categories of goods and services we procure, with particular attention to high-risk areas such as labour-intensive services.

Require suppliers to confirm that they comply with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws, and that they do not tolerate modern slavery or human trafficking in their operations or supply chains.

Reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence from suppliers to demonstrate their compliance, including policies, procedures, and, where appropriate, independent certifications or statements.

Where concerns are identified, we will work with suppliers to develop corrective action plans, and if issues are not resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner, we may suspend or end the business relationship.

Reporting Channels and Speaking Up

Man with Van Tolworth encourages all employees, workers, contractors, and suppliers to report any concerns they may have about potential modern slavery or unethical labour practices connected with our business. We are committed to ensuring that anyone who raises a concern in good faith is treated fairly and does not suffer any form of retaliation.

Reports can be made through line managers, senior management, or other established internal reporting routes. Concerns may include suspicious working conditions, unreasonable recruitment fees, withholding of wages or identity documents, indications of forced or coercive behaviour, or any behaviour that appears inconsistent with our values and this statement.

All reports will be reviewed and, where necessary, investigated promptly and impartially. Appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.

Training and Awareness

We are working to increase awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and managers, particularly those involved in procurement, supplier management, and operations. Training and guidance are provided to help identify warning signs, understand reporting routes, and reinforce our zero-tolerance approach.

Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review

Responsibility for overseeing our modern slavery commitments rests with the senior management of Man with Van Tolworth. We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through ongoing assessment of supplier risk, review of any reported concerns, and evaluation of our internal procedures.

This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is reviewed annually to ensure it remains current, effective, and aligned with legal requirements and best practice. As our business, supply chains, and understanding of the risks evolve, we will continue to refine our policies, due diligence measures, and training to strengthen our response to modern slavery.

This statement represents the commitment of Man with Van Tolworth to uphold human rights and to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our operations and supply chains.
